Description

Modern 2011-2024 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke diesels utilize DPF systems to meet emissions standards. However, these filters can clog over time, increasing exhaust backpressure and reducing fuel efficiency. Upgrading to a 4" or 5" downpipe-back exhaust system eliminates the DPF, reducing maintenance while improving airflow and mileage.

Specification

Exhaust Material T-409 Stainless Steel, it is magnetic.
Thickness 2mm
Inlet Diameter  4.0"/5.0‘’

Benefits

Expect to see a significant increase in fuel mileage. If your DPF is plugged up your probably averaging about 13-14 mpg. More or less depending on the severity of the restriction. After deleting the DPF/CAT expect to get a combined mileage of 18-19 mpg.

  • It removes the need to service the DPF at regular intervals (cleaning, replacement)
  • A DPF delete will remove the possibility of a DPF failure which could cause expensive diesel repairs
  • Due to less exhaust backpressure, the DPF delete increases exhaust flow and therefore increases the performance of your motor!
  • Paired with an ECU remap, the DPF delete is proven to increase power and torque for all vehicles

Many users report that upgrading to a 5 inch downpipe-back exhaust on 2011–2025 Powerstroke trucks results in notable benefits: Quicker turbo spool‑up and smoother throttle response Lowered exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) and reduced backpressure Fuel mileage improvement in real-world tests (~5–10% gain)

Installation

  • Estimated install time: ~1 hour with basic tools; faster on a lift.
  • Short-bed or cab‑chassis trucks may require minor cutting/trimming.
  • Kit includes clamps, hangers, and hardware—some OEM pieces may be reused.
  • Tuner Required: DPF, CAT, SCR, and DOC deletions disable emissions sensors. A tuner with Powerstroke DPF delete capability ensures no check-engine lights or fault codes.

 Fitment

offers DPF delete race pipe for:

  • Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 Super Duty 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel: 2011-2024
  • Does not fit Cab & Chassis
  • Note: Each DPF delete fits different year models - please select your exact vehicle year in the options before purchase.

FAQ

Q1: What’s the difference between a Downpipe-Back and a Turbo-Back exhaust system?
A1: A downpipe-back system starts after the downpipe and retains the OEM downpipe, making installation easier. A turbo-back replaces the entire exhaust from the turbo, offering more performance but requiring more modification.

Q2: Will this 5” downpipe-back exhaust fit a cab & chassis model?
A2: No, this kit is designed for standard pickup configurations only (F-250, F-350, F-450). It is not compatible with cab & chassis models due to differences in frame and exhaust routing.

Q3: Will the 5-inch exhaust system cause excessive drone inside the cab?
A3: The 5" system may produce deeper tones and mild drone depending on cab insulation and presence of a muffler. For a quieter ride, choose the version with a muffler.

Q4: Does this system come with a muffler or resonator?
A4: There are two versions: one is a straight 5" race pipe with no muffler, and another includes a muffler. Be sure to choose the configuration that best suits your sound preference.

Q5: Can I install this kit in my home garage without a lift?
A5: Yes, installation can be done with basic hand tools on the ground. However, having a lift will speed up the process and make alignment easier.

Q6: Do I need to cut or modify anything to fit the 5" downpipe-back exhaust?
A6: In most cases, no. But for short-wheelbase or extended cab models, slight trimming may be required to ensure proper clearance and fitment.

Q7: Is the 5” system too large for a stock turbo setup?
A7: No, many users run a 5" downpipe-back exhaust on stock or mildly tuned 6.7 Powerstroke trucks with no issues. It provides enhanced flow and lower EGTs without hurting performance.

Q8: Will installing a 5-inch DPF delete exhaust improve towing performance?
A8: Yes, lower backpressure improves engine efficiency, reduces EGTs, and helps maintain power during extended towing or hill climbs—especially when paired with a tuner.

Q9: Can this exhaust system be used with aftermarket tuners like the Mini Maxx or EZ Lynk?
A9: Absolutely. It’s fully compatible with most DPF-delete capable tuners, including Mini Maxx, EZ Lynk, H&S, and EFI Live. Always verify tuner settings before installation.

Q10: Is this exhaust system street legal?
A10: No, this DPF-delete exhaust system is intended for off-road and race use only. Use on public roads may violate federal and state emissions regulations. Check local laws before purchasing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a delete tuner?

A delete tuner is a device that reprograms yourtruck's ECM (computer) to turn off emissionssystems like the DPF, EGR, and DEF, allowing yourtruck to run without those components

Can l use a delete tuner withoutphysically removing TheDPF/DEF/EGR parts?

You MUST remove your DPF(Diesel ParticulateFilter), as the filter will clog and stop all exhaust flowwhen shut off. You will no longer need DEF(DieselExhaust Fluid), and you may remove your DEF tankif you wish, or it can sit empty. The EGR may remainas is, but we recommend removing the physicalparts as well.

Is a Delete Tune bad for mytruck's engine?

Quite the opposite. In fact, many customers reportimproved engine life, smoother shifting, and betterfuel economy (typically 3-5 MPG gains) when usinga quality delete tuner.

What's the difference between adelete tuner and a delete tune?

The tuner is the hardware device. The tune is thesoftware file that gets uploaded to your truck's ECM.Your delete tuner includes a delete tune when youpurchase from us.

Do delete tuners void my warranty?

Yes. Any emissions-related modification, includingtuning, can void the manufacturer's warranty. Manycustomers wait until after their warranty expiresbefore deleting.

Do l need a mechanic to install thetuner? How long does installationtake?

Not necessarily. Many of our customers install their delete tuner themselves in under 30 minutes. We include easy-to-follow instructions, and our support team is available if you need help.

Will my truck pass inspection oremissions testing with a deletetuner?

No. Delete tuners disable emissions systems, so your truck will not pass emissions tests in areas where they're required. Some states have exemptions (e.g. heavy-duty or rural-use trucks).

Can l go back to stock afterinstalling a delete tuner?

Yes. However, in most cases you will have to have the ECM flashed at the dealership. If this is a concern, contact our team and we can explain further.

Is the delete tune VlN-locked?

Yes. All delete tunes are VIN specific and will only work on one truck. The tuner (hardware device), may be used on multiple vehicles for diagnostic or monitoring purposes where applicable.

What support do l get with my tuner?

We offer lifetime customer support, step-by-step install guides, and remote help from our tuning team. You're never left hanging, even after the sale.
