PHASE 1: DISASSEMBLY & REMOVAL

Step 1: Sensor & Injector Disconnection Carefully disconnect all EGT sensors, O2 sensors, and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) injector harnesses from the downpipe, SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).

Step 2: Exhaust System Extraction

  • Unscrew the two flange connections and loosen the clamp at the exhaust tailpipe section.

  • Remove the SCR and DPF units from the vehicle chassis, then proceed to remove the factory exhaust tailpipe.

  • At the turbocharger housing, loosen the V-band bolt and remove the clamp securing the downpipe.

Step 3: Hardware Retrieval Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clamps from the three flange positions. Remove the water pipe and retain the factory clips, as they will be reused during the reassembly process.


PHASE 2: INSTALLATION PROCESS

Step 4: Turbo Pipe Alignment Before fitting the pipes and mufflers, ensure that pipe clamps are pre-positioned on all connection points.

  • Install #1 Turbo Pipe using the stock turbo V-band clamp.

  • Tech Note: Snug the clamp down sufficiently to support the pipe, but leave it loose enough to allow for final alignment adjustments.

Step 5: Pipeline Integration Install Pipe #2 and connect it to the outlet of Pipe #1.

  • Note: In this off-road configuration, sensors and auxiliary lines do not need to be re-inserted into the exhaust stream. Ensure all disconnected harnesses are securely tied away from heat sources.

Step 6: MAF Sensor Transfer Using the provided Security Torx tool, transfer the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor from the factory intake port to the new intake port. Hand-tighten the intake bracket to ensure a proper seat.


PHASE 3: FINAL TORQUE & REINFORCEMENT

Step 7: System Securing Begin the tightening process from the front (turbo pipe) and work toward the rear. Align the piping with the block connections and torque all hardware.

  • Pro-Tip: For maximum structural integrity under high-vibration racing conditions, MIG welding should be applied to the slip-joint connections.

  • Warning: Do NOT weld the pipe clamps to the exhaust tubing.


POST-INSTALLATION ADVISORY

This hardware modification requires a compatible ECM Calibration (Race Tune) to disable the factory after-treatment logic. Failure to flash the appropriate software will result in "Limp Mode" and immediate Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
