PHASE 1: DISASSEMBLY & REMOVAL
Step 1: Sensor & Injector Disconnection Carefully disconnect all EGT sensors, pressure sensors, and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) injector harnesses from the downpipe, SCR, and DPF units.
Step 2: Exhaust System Extraction

Unscrew the two primary flange connections and loosen the clamp at the rear exhaust tailpipe section.

Remove the SCR and DPF units from the chassis, then proceed to remove the factory exhaust tailpipe.

At the turbocharger, loosen the V-band clamp bolt and remove the clamp securing the factory downpipe.
Step 3: Hardware Retrieval Using a flat-head screwdriver, pry the clips from the three flange positions. Disconnect the lines and retain the factory clips, as they will be required for the reinstallation process.
PHASE 2: INSTALLATION & INTEGRATION
Step 4: Turbo Pipe Mounting Before fitting the pipes and mufflers, ensure that all pipe clamps are pre-positioned on the connection joints.

Install Pipe #1 (Turbo Pipe) using the stock turbo V-band clamp.

Tech Note: Snug the clamp down sufficiently to support the pipe’s weight, but leave it loose enough to allow for final alignment adjustments.
Step 5: Mid-Pipe Configuration Install the DPF replacement pipe (#3).

Note: For extended wheelbase models, the #2 extension pipe is required.

In this racing configuration, factory sensors and auxiliary lines do not need to be re-inserted into the exhaust stream. Ensure all unused harnesses are secured away from heat sources.
Step 6: Muffler Delete & Hanger Securement Install the muffler replacement pipe. Insert the exhaust hangers into the OEM rubber isolators to ensure the system is properly suspended and vibration-damped.
PHASE 3: FINAL ALIGNMENT & TORQUE
Step 7: System Validation & Securing Begin the tightening process starting from the front (turbo pipe) and working toward the rear. Align the piping with the block connections before performing the final torque.

Pro-Tip: For maximum structural integrity under high-vibration racing conditions, MIG welding should be applied to the slip-joint connections.

Warning: Do NOT weld the pipe clamps directly to the exhaust tubing.
POST-INSTALLATION ADVISORY
This hardware modification requires a compatible ECM Calibration (Tune) to disable the factory after-treatment logic. Failure to flash the appropriate software will result in the vehicle entering "Limp Mode" and triggering Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
