PHASE 1: PREPARATION & COMPONENT SEALING

Step 1: Lubrication Before installing the precision-machined billet aluminum block-off plate, apply a light coat of clean engine oil or assembly lubricant to the inner edge of the plate and the O-ring. This ensures the plate seats smoothly without snagging or damaging the seal during installation.

Step 2: Securing the Plate Thread the mounting bolts into the plate by hand. Use a wrench or socket to snug the bolts.

  • Tech Note: Do not overtighten. The O-ring provides the airtight seal against the plastic intake; excessive torque may damage the intake threads or the plate itself.


PHASE 2: OEM PCV SYSTEM DISASSEMBLY

Step 3: Disconnecting the Factory Line Begin by removing the pressure connection from the PCV pipeline located at the valve cover, situated beneath the main turbocharger induction pipe.

Step 4: Primary Hose Detachment Unplug the terminal end of the factory PCV hose from the primary connector (refer to the technical diagram for exact placement).

Step 5: Resonator Plate Access Locate where the factory PCV hose bolts onto the resonator removal plate near the turbocharger inlet.

Step 6: Upper Bolt Removal Using an appropriate wrench, turn the upper mounting bolt counterclockwise. Carefully extract the bolt, ensuring no damage occurs to the surrounding threads or engine components.

Step 7: Lower Bolt Extraction (Tight Clearance) The lower bolt is situated in a high-restriction area.

  • Specialty Tooling: Use a universal joint (U-joint) socket combined with a long extension to reach the bolt head at the necessary angle. This ensures a secure fit and prevents stripping the fastener.

Step 8: Final Assembly Removal Once both mounting bolts are fully extracted, carefully lift the factory PCV hose assembly out of the engine bay.


PHASE 3: KIT INSTALLATION & ROUTING

Step 9: Installing the Stopper Plate Install the provided stopper plate in place of the factory PCV assembly using the original OEM bolts.

  • Critical Step: Ensure the wiring harness bracket is positioned underneath the lower mounting bolt before final tightening to maintain factory harness security.

Step 10: Clamp Preparation Slide the provided spring clamp onto the new reroute hose, positioning it approximately 2–3 inches from the end. This allows for an unobstructed seat onto the barbed fitting.

Step 11: Hose Fitting & Security Slide the hose onto the PCV barbed fitting on the valve cover. Use precision needle-nose pliers to position the spring clamp over the fitting, ensuring a secure, leak-free connection.

Step 12: Precision Hose Routing Direct the hose in an upward loop, then route it over and down toward the driver-side frame rail.

  • Safety Check: Ensure the hose path maintains maximum clearance from moving parts (fans/pulleys) and high-heat components (exhaust manifolds/turbo).


PHASE 4: CHASSIS SECURING

Step 13: Under-Truck Finalization With the vehicle hoisted, secure the terminal end of the hose to the exterior of the frame rail using the provided heavy-duty tie wraps.

  • Performance Upgrade: For dedicated competition or drag racing applications, we recommend integrating a vented catch can with a breather filter and drain valve to manage oil blow-by effectively.


POST-INSTALLATION ADVISORY

  • Initial Check: Start the engine and inspect all connection points for signs of leaks.

  • Maintenance: Periodically check the reroute hose for obstructions or kinks to ensure the crankcase remains properly ventilated.
