Product: 4" Downpipe-Back DPF Delete Performance Exhaust System

LEGAL DISCLAIMER & COMPLIANCE

OFF-ROAD USE ONLY: This high-performance racing component is engineered exclusively for competition or sanctioned off-road use. It does not comply with federal or local emissions laws for highway operation. Installation on any vehicle registered for public roads is strictly prohibited. The end-user assumes all legal liability and risk associated with the installation and use of this product.

PHASE 1: DISASSEMBLY & OEM REMOVAL

Step 1: Sensor & Exhaust Removal

  1. Sensor Isolation: Disconnect all EGT sensors, pressure lines, and auxiliary connections from the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Secure the harnesses safely to the chassis frame.

  2. System Detachment: Starting at the factory downpipe flange, unscrew the connection and loosen all downstream clamps from the DPF through to the tailpipe.

  3. Extraction: Lubricate and remove all metal hangers from the OEM rubber isolators.

    • Tech Tip: If you prefer not to cut the factory tailpipe for removal, use a frame lift to allow the rear axle to hang freely; this provides the necessary clearance to extract the tailpipe section in one piece.

PHASE 2: COMPONENT INSTALLATION

Step 2: Primary Pipe Placement Align the #1 Delete Pipe with the outlet of the factory downpipe. Install the flange and secure it loosely with the hardware to allow for later alignment adjustments.

Step 3: Intermediate Pipe Integration Install Pipe #2 by connecting the tapered (narrower) end to the outlet of Pipe #1.

  1. Insert the integrated metal hangers into the corresponding OEM rubber mounts.

  2. Wheelbase Adjustment: This pipe is designed to accommodate various cab/bed configurations and may require precision trimming to fit your specific truck’s wheelbase.

Step 4: Extension & Muffler Delete Assembly

  1. Custom Fitment: Measure the gap between the mid-pipe and the over-axle section. Trim and install the #3-2 Extension Pipe as required for a perfect fit.

  2. Muffler Delete: Position the #3-1 Muffler Delete Pipe onto the over-axle inlet and support it temporarily with a stand or bracket.

Step 5: Over-Axle & Tailpipe Finalization Route the #4 Over-Axle Pipe over the rear axle assembly. Connect the outlet to the #5 Tailpipe and secure the hangers into the factory rubber mounts.

PHASE 3: FINAL ALIGNMENT & TORQUE

Step 6: System Calibration & Securing With the entire system mounted loosely, perform a comprehensive inspection to ensure optimal clearance from the chassis, suspension, and spare tire.

  1. Adjust the pipe rotation and depth to achieve a level, professional appearance.

  2. Torque Sequence: Working from the front flange connection toward the rear, tighten all clamps and hardware evenly.

POST-INSTALLATION ADVISORY

  • ECM Tuning: This hardware modification strictly requires a compatible Electronic Calibration (Race Tune) to disable the factory emissions logic. Failure to update the software will cause the vehicle to enter "Limp Mode."

  • Maintenance: Re-torque all hardware and check for exhaust leaks after the first 50–100 miles of driving to account for thermal expansion and material settling.
