LEGAL DISCLAIMER & COMPLIANCE

OFF-ROAD USE ONLY: This high-performance racing component is engineered exclusively for competition or sanctioned off-road use. It does not comply with federal or local emissions laws for highway operation. Installation on any vehicle registered for public roads is strictly prohibited. The end-user assumes all legal liability and risk associated with the installation and use of this product.

PHASE 1: DISASSEMBLY & PREPARATION

Step 1: CAC Tube Removal

  1. Intake Protection: Remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) intake pipe.

    • Caution: Even microscopic debris can cause catastrophic damage to the turbocharger compressor blades. Ensure the inlet remains covered during the process.

  2. Connector Release: Pull the spring clip until it seats in the quick-connect release pawl. Release the clamp and extract the CAC intake pipe from the vehicle.

Step 2: Fuel System Clearance

  1. Disconnect and remove the fuel filter outlet tube.

  2. Disconnect the fuel filter inlet tube and the injector return tube.

  3. Remove and discard the factory left-side fuel supply tube bolts (new hardware recommended for reassembly).

Step 3: CCV Oil Separator Extraction

  1. Hose Disconnection: Release the retaining tabs on the oil separator outlet hose. Disconnect the hose from the lower intake manifold.

    • Tech Tip: Place a shop towel under the unit to catch residual oil drainage during removal.

  2. Unit Removal: Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the factory CCV oil separator assembly from the engine.

PHASE 2: KIT INSTALLATION

Step 4: Installing the Billet Breather Unit

  1. Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean any old oil residue from the breather port at the rear of the engine.

  2. Mounting: Position the new unit onto the breather port where the OEM assembly was previously located.

  3. Torque Specification: Install the two provided bolts and torque them evenly to 96 lb-in (11 Nm).

Step 5: Intake Port Sealing & Component Reassembly

  1. Intake Cap: Install the provided block-off cap onto the factory intake port where the breather hose was originally connected.

    • Note: Clamps or zip ties are not strictly required as this port is not subject to pressure, though they may be added for a cleaner finish.

  2. Bracket Installation: Reinstall the fuel filter and bracket assembly. Secure and tighten all mounting bolts to factory specifications.

  3. Hardware Integration: Install the new fuel injection pump supply tube assembly bracket and the new left-side fuel supply tube bolts.

PHASE 3: FINAL PLUMBING & CALIBRATION

Step 6: Final Connection Sequence

  1. Reconnect the fuel filter injector return tube and the inlet tube.

  2. Reinstall the fuel filter outlet tube.

  3. Reinstall the CAC intake pipe.

    • Final Audit: Inspect the turbocharger and engine air intake system for absolute cleanliness before final seating.

Step 7: Battery & Fuel System Initialization

  1. Reconnect the vehicle batteries.

  2. Critical Step: Bleed the fuel system according to OEM procedures to remove air pockets. Failure to bleed the system properly can cause high-pressure fuel pump damage.

POST-INSTALLATION ADVISORY

  • Fuel Priming: Cycle the ignition to the "Run" position multiple times (without cranking) to allow the lift pump to prime the system.

  • Visual Inspection: After the first 50 miles, inspect all fuel and ventilation fittings for signs of leaks or thermal loosening.
