PHASE 1: DISASSEMBLY
Step 1: Charge Pipe Detachment Using an 11mm deep socket, loosen the tension on the turbocharger outlet charge pipe. Carefully disconnect the pipe from the turbocharger housing and move it to the side to create sufficient workspace.
Step 2: Boost Assist Pipe Removal Using a 10mm socket, disconnect the PCV boost assist pipe from the backside of the turbocharger compressor outlet.
Step 3: Factory PCV System Extraction Remove the four (4) bolts securing the factory PCV system.
-
Tech Note: These are factory one-way aluminum bolts designed for permanent installation. You must use a specialized bolt extractor or puller to successfully remove these fasteners.
PHASE 4: INSTALLATION
Step 4: Turbocharger Block-Off Plate Position the turbocharger block-off plate onto the rear side of the turbocharger outlet. Secure the plate using two (2) of the short bolts provided in the kit.
Step 5: Oil Fill Tube & Fitting Preparation
-
Install the new Oil Fill Tube using the remaining two (2) short bolts.
-
Thread the 90-degree barbed fitting into the new PCV block.
-
Note: Keep the fitting loose at this stage to allow for final orientation adjustments.
-
Track Specification: For dedicated track applications, ensure the connectors and PCV plugs are replaced and rerouted using the supplied high-temp hose.
-
Step 6: PCV Block Securement & Hose Integration
-
Use the two (2) long bolts supplied in the kit to fasten the new PCV Block into position.
-
Slide the provided hose clamp (or reuse the factory clamp) onto the factory PCV hose. Slide the hose onto the 90-degree barbed fitting.
-
Alignment: Adjust the orientation of the 90-degree fitting to ensure it does not make contact with the oil fill tube or the factory crossover pipe, then tighten the fitting securely.
PHASE 3: FINAL VERIFICATION
Step 7: Final Inspection Perform a comprehensive visual inspection of the engine bay. Ensure the charge pipe is reconnected and verify that all hardware, fittings, and clamps are tightened to specification before starting the engine.
POST-INSTALLATION ADVISORY
-
Thermal Expansion: It is recommended to check all bolts and hose connections after the first heat cycle (initial drive) to ensure everything remains secure.
-
Maintenance: Periodically inspect the reroute hose for any signs of wear or blockage to maintain optimal crankcase pressure regulation.
