Q2: Can a magnet stick to this pipe? Is it actually stainless steel?

• Yes. This system is built from T-409 Stainless Steel. Unlike 304-grade (non-magnetic), T-409 contains higher iron content, making it magnetic. It offers superior corrosion resistance over aluminized steel and is the industry standard for durability in harsh North American winters.

Q3: How thick is the tubing and what is its lifespan?

• We use 14-gauge (approx. 2mm) T-409 stainless steel. It strikes the perfect balance between weight and structural integrity, ensuring your exhaust survives heat cycles and road debris for years to come.

Q5: What exactly is a DPF delete race pipe?

• It is a direct-replacement straight pipe that swaps out the factory Diesel Particulate Filter. It eliminates the single biggest bottleneck in your exhaust, allowing your 6.7L Powerstroke to breathe freely.

Q6: Is a DPF delete legal for street use in the US?

• No. Removing emissions equipment violates EPA and CARB regulations for on-road vehicles. Check your local and state laws regarding emissions testing (Smog Checks) before purchasing.

Q7: Do I need a tuner after installing a delete pipe?

• Yes, mandatory. The 6.7L Powerstroke PCM must be "flashed" with a DPF-off tune (e.g., EZ Lynk, EFI Live, or SCT). Without a tuner, the truck will throw a Check Engine Light (CEL) and enter a "Limp Mode" power derate.

• This is a "bolt-on" installation for most experienced DIYers. While basic hand tools work, an automotive lift makes the process significantly faster. Note: Some Crew Cab or Short Bed configurations may require minor trimming of the mid-pipe for a perfect fit.

Q10: Downpipe-Back vs. Turbo-Back: What’s the difference?

• Downpipe-Back: Replaces everything from the factory downpipe to the tailpipe. It’s easier to install and very popular.
• Turbo-Back: Replaces the entire system starting directly at the turbocharger. This offers the absolute maximum performance gain but involves a more labor-intensive installation.

Q11: Is this 5-inch system compatible with Cab & Chassis models?

• No. This kit is designed specifically for standard pickup frames (F-250/F-350/F-450). Cab & Chassis trucks have different frame rails and fuel tank locations that require specialized routing.

Q12: Will my truck be significantly louder?

• Yes. Expect a more pronounced exhaust note. The 5-inch straight pipe is loud and deep. If you are concerned about "In-Cab Drone" during long highway hauls, we recommend choosing our version with a high-flow muffler/resonator.

Q13: Will it pass a state emissions inspection?

• No. If your state requires a visual inspection or an OBDII "Readiness" scan, a deleted truck will fail.

All Dieselperf products enjoy a 1-year limited warranty starting from the date of goods receipt, covering defects in product materials and workmanship.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty only covers failures arising from original material and manufacturing defects under proper installation and normal use. The warranty is non-transferable and exclusively available to the original buyer. An order number or valid purchase receipt is mandatory for warranty claims.

Warranty Exclusions

The 1-year limited warranty does not apply to the following circumstances:

• Normal wear and tear and surface scratches generated during regular use
• Damage caused by improper installation, unauthorized disassembly or modification
• Damage resulting from misuse, accidental impact, negligence and natural disasters
• Natural aging loss of consumable spare parts
• Labor costs incurred from product disassembly, assembly and maintenance

Warranty Claim Process

3. Settlement Solutions: Upon claim approval, we reserve the right to take one of the following measures:
